I am an ex-ZIPRA cadre who has been resident in South Africa since the 1980's dissident era.I believe Zimbabweans have been let down by the entire international community as their plight matters not since then.It is naive for anyone to say Zimbabweans solve their own problems coz one needs external support to resolve any domestic political fiasco.
One other thing is there is no dictator who has been single-handedly been deposed by civilians save only for Nikolai Ceausescu in Romania, all others have gone through foreign military intervention.What is it about Mugabe?His army has morale at the lowest and huge desertions.What he has now are untrained militias masquqreding as police and soldiers.
ZIMBABWEANS ARE HUMANS IN NEED OF BEING FREED FROM A BEAST IN THE FORM OF ZANU(PF)/JOC.

Mr Mugabe needs to be told that ZANU(PF) truthfully means "ZIMBABWEANS ARE NOW UPSET (PURE FACT)" and that is not a lie. We want the truthful MDC to rule and make a change for the better. Instead ZANU (PF) has caused a problem to the economy. It is so bad that its local currency is the MDC of the world i.e. "MOST DEVALUED CURRENCY".

What on earth would be the purpose of sanctions? How does this change the mind-set of a megalomaniac and murderer. If sanctions are applied, all the people of Zimbabwe will suffer even more! They are suffering greatly as it is. The president and his henchmen will not feel anything, since they already have money and supplies in their coffers to weather any storm. And if not they will just kill, steal and demand it from the innocent people of the country. If sanctions need to be applied, then apply
directly to Mugabe and his entourage.

Mugabe is not harmful,I dont believe that only one man can hold the entire population hostage. Zimbabweans are not united which makes it easier for Mugabe not to leave the throne.To ensure that the MDC does not represent Britain in Zimbabwe, let both parties work closely with the Zanu PF without empty fears.

Ask the ordinary people of zimbabwe whether they were happier under the Smith and a white government, whatever its drawbacks my be, they the barbaric government of Mugabe and black rule? They had work, they never starved, they had peace, they weren't constantly in danger of being beaten up and killed on a mere whim, they had courts where they could find justice for murder and they were independant, they had chiefs and elders who could intercede for them, their children were educated (in fact the old Rhodesia had the highest literacy rate in Africa) they had free medical services, they lived their daily lives in safety for 99% of the time. AND ASK THEM NOW ... WAS BLACK RULE WORTH IT?
ARE THEIR LIVES BETTER OFF NOW THAN THEY WERE UNDER SUPPOSEDLY WHITE RACIST RULE? ... And their misery and suffering goes on with no end in sight! But, of course, the rest of the world knew what was best for them. God help them all, the wonderful brave ex-Rhodesian black and white people of Zimbabwe, a hell on earth.

In the past the Indunas who went down from Umgungunhlovo would be killed if they did not return to the nest with a human head and would kill their hunting partners to keep their own lives. I give you Bob Mugabe in a nut shell. God will not help in this matter as God supports the righteous and if Mugabe feels strongly enough that he is right then he shall be supported. As a young man who has since left his place of birth and moved overseas i have no sympathy for the people of zimbabwe. they have asked for this situation and this is what they want. The power to remove this man is in our own hands. There comes a stage when we must be held accountable and accept the blame. We want change from a one party state and lifetime leadership but the opposition party does not offer us that. Morgan Tsvangirai has been the leader and lost his bid for election three times now. Where else do you see that in the world where democracy is alive and well. We need new blood with new ideas and walso have the ability to take Mugabe on and play the game of politics with him and that man will unite a seriously divided nation. As he will gain the respect of all.

in all honesty the zimbabwean situaion is very complex and only individuals from there can comment it it as they are the ones directly exposed to it. the free media is bias and anti mugabe and all expats are nt oblectviveto the situation, despite all that being said not even the staunchenest supoters of the ruling party can honestly back the ruling ZANU PF party without bias, both the MDC and ZANU PF are just powere hungry and the zimbabwean people are just desperate for change, not knowing wat it is goin to bring fro them.

being white, born and bred in zim.knee rhodesia,i can say that,having lived in rsa 4 20 years and now in eire,4 6 years,that the zim. people,of all creed and denomination,are amongst the nicest and most hospitable people anyone could ever hope to meet.how a despot such as mugabe can be allowed to inflict such pain and misery is beyond all comprehension.it boils down 2 2 things.firstly greed ,secondly,mental instability.the world as a whole,doesnt care as there is no immediate wealth to be had,such as oil.how it is that that warmonger bush enters the equation is unbelievable.the only thing he and the zim.people have in common is the colour of oil,and if u dont have oil then u may as well be white.the only consolation zim.now has is that mugabwe will one day die.that is not a religous thought,but one day satan will die.is that a religous thought?.mugabe needs to be taken, in chains as befitting a rabid dog,to geneva,and tried for his many atrocities against his people,and not be allowed to run to a save haven like idi amin 4 example.zim.has the world 2 thank 4 its present predicament.long live zim.
